Darkwood Forest

This gloomy, unsettling forest is beautiful in a dark sort of way.
The trees are black as coal, and are very tall. Their thick, knotted
branches twist every which way so that they appear to be contorted in
pain, though this is surely not the case. The leaves are a dark green,
and are nearly as thick as leather. A large, blackened stump stands to
the northeast, a gaping hole in its trunk seeming to yawn widely.
