This is a cobblestoned street. It is dimly lit by guttering lanterns

hung from tall posts. It is relatively clean, and is quiet and fairly

unpopulated. The buildings here are plain-looking and unornamented,

but are well-made. The street continues to the east and west, and you

can see the entrance to a dark, thin alleyway to the south.
