This is a filty, dead-end alley, heavily littered with refuse and

garbage. Rats run away at your approach. It looks as if this is a

local garbage deposit, and you have to breathe shallowly to stop

yourself from gagging. You can barely make out a manhole beneath a

pile of slimy debris, and you can exit the alley to the south.
