The river flows up to and over a very shallow sand bed here and then
off to the east. Large holes that open and close in the drier parts of
the sand bed show periodically here and there, leading you to believe
that there are creatures under the sand. The sand bed and shallow
water running over it continues to the northwest and southwest.
