A small trail to the south widens here into a well traveled dirt path.
Small patches of grass and other unfamiliar plants line the path as it
winds around the trees in a generally northward direction. The ground
here is cold and hard, and has probably only been absent of snow a
couple of days. The openness of the path allows the chilling wind to
come gusting through.
