This wide, litter-cluttered street is paved with broken and chipped

flagstones. Tall, rickety buildings tower above on either side of the

street, their barred and curtained windows disquietingly watchful.

Flickering light is provided by lit torches fastened to the walls. To

the west, a large wooden door stands, a sign with a picture of a

candle inscribed on it hanging above. The street continues to the

south, and empties onto a small plaza to the north.
