This wide, litter-cluttered street is paved with broken and chipped

flagstones. Tall, rickety buildings tower above on either side of the

street, their barred and curtained windows disquietingly watchful.

Flickering light is provided by lit torches fastened to the walls.

Through the window in a western building you can hear raucous laughter

and the sounds of fights, and to the east, a tall iron fence leads

into some sort of dark park. The street continues north and south.
