This wide, litter-cluttered street is paved with broken and chipped

flagstones. Tall, rickety buildings tower above on either side of the

street, their barred and curtained windows disquietingly watchful.

Flickering light is provided by lit torches fastened to the walls. An

open doorway to the east provides entry into what is obviously a

tavern, as the clanking of wooden mugs and the sounds of fistfights

can clearly be heard. The street continues to the north and south.
