This wide, litter-cluttered street is paved with broken and chipped

flagstones. Tall, rickety buildings tower above on either side of the

street, their barred and curtained windows disquietingly watchful.

Flickering light is provided by lit torches fastened to the walls. A

heavyset stone building to the north has a sign with a large axe

hanging over its door. Dagger street continues to the west, and enters

the town centre to the east.
