This narrow path has long since been reclaimed by long grasses and

plants, so much so that it is difficult to follow. The ground is hard

earth, with a not unpleasant smell that fills the air. The path here

splits up four ways: westwards towards the inn and the valley wall,

eastwards into the swamp, and north- and southwards around the edge of

the swamp.
