Mud and trodden grass form the packed surface of this winding path. It

skirts around the northern edge of the swamp, far enough from it as to

be safe, but not far enough to escape the foul odour. The swamp lies

in a bowl-like depression, but here it is impossible to enter due to

dense, thorny vegetation and poisonous black pools. A dense mist fills

the heart of the swamp, giving its already-ominous appearance a

mysterious edge.
