Grand Stair

This stone staircase's steps are broad and made of a dark grey stone,
and has been smoothed by the passage of many feet. It spirals downward
around a central pillar wider than a darkwood tree. Sounds echo
eerily here, and from far below disturbing sounds can be heard. A
large portcullis fills the stairwell here, and a large iron lever is
set in the wall.
