Dark Tunnel

The rough, notched stone walls of this tunnel are obviously the
handiwork of a long labour with picks. Hacked out of the heartstone
of the earth, the cramped tunnel winds its way underground in a
manner that makes keeping any sense of orientation difficult. Set at
head height, a thick metal pipe partially embedded in the wall follows
the tunnel's path. To the south, the passage opens up into a large
natural cavern.
