The inside of the darkwood tree is much like the outside, with coal-

black bark walls as hard as iron. Softly glowing globes affixed to the

walls cast a pale blue-white radiance that gives the inside of the

tree a ghostly appearance. This small, circular chamber is barely

large enough for a few people, and seems to exist only to house the

small ivory statue set in the wall to the south.
