This huge, high-ceilinged hall is elaborately decorated with floor-to-

ceiling scrolls and intricate wooden wall carvings. Torchieres carved

in the shape of dragons cast a strange half-light upon the room.

Standing upon a raised dais to the south, a twenty-foot-tall statue

looms oppressively. The aura of power radiates strongly from it, and

a malevolent watchfulness comes from deep within its hooded cowl. The

great hall continues off to the north, east and west.
