With a start Mandrake spins about to face you, stepping back as he does,

"I promise you, Sir, I know not of what you speak! I suggest you try Gruphor, if 'tis stolen goods you seek!"

Peering closer the man realizes he has mistaken you for another, and his face flushes. He shakes his head and bows to you with a sweeping grace. Looking up from under his brow, with a cocky smile, he says,

"Thou never knowst what day will bring, let alone the night,
For you, if I may say so, are quite a striking sight!
I am Mandrake, bard extraordinaire, maker of fine things,
I make what helps the rhymers rhyme, and the singers sing."
