The arrival of the King in Silvermere was a cause for much celebration. Fires burned in the Town Square for several nights and long guarded supplies were brought out for great feasting. In the High Kings party was the son of the Governor, Godfrey, a sworn Holy Knight of the household guard, and a daughter of Kulgar, Ca'trine, sworn Holy Knight and treaty foster daughter to the King. Ca"trine chose to go in public by the name Doggie Doober, a childish corruption in the common tongue of the Dwarven phrase for "eager worker". The army accompanying the King, one thousand souls, but a small part of his forces, was a wonder in it's time. Mixed Races, mixed Classes, squads of stealthy scouts and companies of Half-Ogre Warriors, troops of Mages to bring down fire and troops of Priests to call down the wrath of the Gods. Healers, Singers, thinkers and seers, a thing put together never seen in the Realm before. The Kings entourage including his lovely Queen Brendan, his son and her two daughters, as well as many servants and councilors were housed in the Government House overlooking the City Park. The King made his Headquarters above the Guild Hall and the army was quartered in the Park and in the Barracks of the City Towers.
