Unknown to the King there existed near this newest outpost of his realm a most potent force for good. Secreted above the Eastern Waterfall was the Temple of the Order of the Phoenix. In fact the region around Silvermere held many surprises for the King. Without warning the Gnoll siege from the Dragons Teeth Hills was broken from behind. A Sergeant Markus of the Royal Guards arrived escorted by a fierce band of fighters led by the Mage Morukai Soulscourge from the independent town of Rhudaur. Markus told the High King that word of the 
situation was already on the way to the Capitol in the hands of the one eyed Ranger Skarlock Rasthall and two Guardsmen from his post in the Black Mountains. Morukai requested a closed audience with the King and
emerged within the hour wearing the Kings Colors on his arm and the knot of Captain on his shoulder, his men also donned the Kings Colors and assembled themselves in a privately owned warehouse near the Docks. Less than a day later the siege of the Gate was broken by an even larger party emerging from the Mountains north of the Darkwood and led by the Bard Orfeo Talespinner. Orfeo also attended the King and emerged as a captain in the Kings Colors, He and his men joined the forces of Morukai near the Docks.
