Driven to mad desperation Goru-Nezar envisioned a final solution to isolate the Phoenix of Light in it's Temple by destroying Silvermere. He sent part of his force across the river to the Dragons Teeth Hills to attack Silvermere from the west while his main force marched down the Old Road to the Silver River to attack the Silvermere Docks. The forces of the Red Mage clashed briefly with Kreegaks Gnolls over the leadership of this assault but this was quickly put aside and the combined force advanced on the Western Road. Unfortunately the Kings scouts had heard the clash of arms reverberating through the hills and by the time the Gnolls and the forces of Goru-Nezar reached the Road the army of the King was waiting and the attack was smashed almost to the last man. A few survivors fled back to the hidden Gnoll camp but would never be in a
position to threaten the Realm again.
