Deep under the ground Skarlock led the hunters, through a strange Fungus Forest they pursued the raiders and into a Black Chasm they followed them. In a Village of Serpentkin they fell upon the raiders slaying many,
but with the help of the lizard folk the surviving raiders carried their captives away into a maze of strange Crystalline Passages. The hunters followed and in a strange twist of fortune emerged at a Dreary Village
ahead of their prey. Waiting in ambush Skarlock, Morukai, Orfeo and Doggie fell upon the raiders, killing them to a man and freed the children. Doggie ordered the Household Guard to return to Silvermere with the Prince and Princesses while she went with the others to discover the source of this outrage.
