"Within these pages, friend you will find a compilation of the Prophecy of Plague, as originally recorded by sages from long ago, take great heed that this should never come to pass, for it could mean many and great dire things. The prophecy is not a plague in the physical sense, but of the spiritual sense. Only the most soulless or hellbent would ever consider undertaking, but history has proven some individuals as that do walk this realm and desire the power held within. The prophecy is gotten by a process evil and filled with dark ceremonies. Essentially it is the process of turning one into a being of undeath, but with greater power, and a constant thirst for the souls of others. What is required is a jewel of great size and value, this is most essential for it shall hold the life force of the being. Next is a chain of great worth, which shall link the soul of that being to the jewel which shall contain it. Next is the heart of a magical and evil beast, with many atrocities committed by it, for it is the power of this beast which is used in the transformation to undead. The greater the evil, the more power brought by the transformation. Take these items into a black and lightless cavern of stone, and construct a great portal made from the bones of innocent men slain by their own tools. I refuse to copy the words used within the vile ceremony, for they are filled with evil and may corrupt both the scribe and reader of this work. Reader I forbid you to look for these phrases

for they will be the damnation of you. What is known once the ceremony is complete is unknown, for you must use the phrases and enter the portal of bone. Once through that it is written that the subject shall under go immense pain, once this is done the living body shall be loosed, and an undead creature will come to pass. The Plague is then begun. So great is the power of this creature that it can consume the souls of many with a wave of its hand, with blackest necromancy it can destroy all the living in the realm, making undead subjects of any who oppose it. The Plague must never happen, and should you be a tool towards that end, reader, I curse you to the farthest ends of Hell.
